Blind Triplets Are Honored For Defying All Odds And Becoming Eagle Scouts Thanks To Amazing Adoptive Dad Taking Them Under His WIng
Feb 08, 2018
Steve, Nick, and Leo Cantos were all born blind. Triplets who would have a lot to overcome as they grew up. Luckily they were adopted by an extremely kind man, Ollie Cantos. Being blind himself, Ollie had a wealth of wisdom to share with the triplets and he opened up his home to them.

The triplets were adopted by Ollie in 2010 when they were 11 years old. Their birth mother was struggling to raise them and they barely got to go outside. Ollie knew that there are certain setbacks and struggles that the triplets would face but also that they could overcome them. He now shares joint custody of them with their birth mother and has been an integral part of their lives teaching them essential life skills such as cooking for themselves, using public transport and other day-to-day tasks.
Now, not only are the 18-year-olds preparing for college but they have recently received the highest honor a member of the Boy Scouts of America can receive - becoming an Eagle Scout!
The triplets completed every task necessary to acquire this honor without any help or special treatment, even whitewater rafting!
Hundreds of people gathered to celebrate the triplets being honored and at the ceremony Nick Cantos said;
“A person who shows courage in a time of fear can do anything.”
