We will share a few of our favorite home remedies with you, so that you can get rid of flies once and for all.

So, you want to have a fly free home? Try these four tips.

1. Buy insect screens!If you want to be able to leave your windows and doors open, you have to buy an insect screen, because they will fly into your house without you ever seeing them.

2. Wash your dishes immediately after eating!Also wipe down your countertops and tables to make sure that they're crumb free. This is a great way to make sure that flies don't hang out in your house.

3. Don't just leave your fruit in the open!Cover your fruit bowl or store it in a closed container. Overripe fruit will attract fruit flies, which will lay their eggs in the fruit.

4. Take the trash out often!Also, always use a garbage can with a lid. Flies and other bugs like to hang out in the scraps in your trash, so do your part to contain them.

1. Laurel oil: Flies hate this smell! Try putting a few drops in an aroma lamp, and the flies will stay away from your apartment.

2. Lavender: Flies also dislike the smell of lavender! You can decorate your home with lavender or put a few drops of lavender oil in a spray bottle with water to mist your furniture and around your apartment. Either way is good to prevent flies.

6. Matches:Light a few matches and stick them head down into flower pots where flies seem to be congregating.

7. Chili powder:Simply dissolve the chili powder in water and put it where the flies especially seem to gather. They hate chili!

1. Fly paper:You can find it at any grocery store or you can make it yourself. Mix 3 cups of oil with 2 tablespoons of honey and 100 grams of resin. Then heat the mixture in a pot. All you have to do is then cut baking paper into strips and dip it in the mixture. Now you have your own homemade fly trap!

2. Carnivorous plants:These tiny plants that you can get at any garden or plant store first attract flies and then eat them. You can just sit back and relax knowing your fly problem is taken care of.
