Beautiful Horse Steals Show In Country Line Dance Performance

Nov 04, 2020

Everyone knows that horses are smart, affectionate animals that have journeyed side-by-side with humans throughout history. But when you think of an animal that can do tricks, you probably won't think of a horse.

Instead, you might think of a small mammal like a dog or a bird. But as you're about to see, horses can perform tricks just as smoothly as a trained pooch. In a video uploaded by Debbie Hogg in 2016, one particular horse pulls off a truly impressive trick: his handler has taught him to line dance with a group of people.

Debbie Hogg from the U.K. is the proud owner of a beautiful white horse named Chulo. According to a Facebook page she's dedicated to her farm, Chulo isn't the only pet she owns. Debbie owns a large property where she keeps dogs, goats, alpacas, cats, another horse, and a pony. This woman has dedicated her life to taking care of animals. And when you spend so much time with animals, you start to develop an intuitive understanding of these incredible creatures.

Her most famous animal is an Andalusian horse named Chulo. During their time together, Debbie has taught Chulo a trick that few horses have been able to master. This horse isn't just for riding: he's for dancing, too! Debbie taught him to line dance with a group of people while country music plays in the background. It's a fun, humorous, and heartwarming performance that you'll have to see to believe.

Get ready for a dance like no other

The video clip starts with a picture of Debbie beaming as she stands next to Chulo in the stable. It's immediately evident that these two enjoy a close, loving bond. Horses can be brilliant, but they also tend to be stubborn. Chulo must feel incredibly close to Debbie if he was willing to let her train him in the art of line dancing!

At the start of the performance, we see a group of people lined up and ready to line dance in the pasture. Debbie sits astride Chulo with a smile on her face. The music starts, and the group begins to dance. They step to the left, with Chulo moving perfectly in sync. This horse doesn't miss a beat: his movements are strong and graceful, not clunky and awkward. We can't imagine how much practice was involved in teaching this horse how to dance!

The group steps to the right in time with the music. And then something incredible happens. As the crowd raises their hands in the air, Chulo kicks his front hoof in the air as he dances along with them. He sways, turns, and kicks his feet in time with the other dancers as if he's been doing this all his life. In fact, his movements are so smooth that you can't help but wonder if he knows exactly what he's doing.

The group dances to Luke Bryant's hit song "Country Girl (Shake It For Me)" that blew up the airwaves in the United States. Through it all, Chulo stays in time and follows along with the music. He makes the right turns, kicks at the right time, and even bobs his head as if he's nodding along. This is easily one of the smartest horses we've ever seen. The routine goes on without a hitch

Debbie smiles to herself throughout the routine. It's clear that she's proud of this brilliant horse--and she should be since she trained him! Chulo keeps perfect time throughout the performance, even tackling some quick turnarounds. He moves so naturally that it's like he was born to perform this routine.

The people in this dance seem to be enjoying themselves, but nobody looks happier than Debbie. At the end of the video, Debbie jumps off the horse. Then Chulo does something even more incredible: he kneels toward the ground in an unmistakable bow. He's not just a talented dancer--he's also polite and gracious as well.

The video has dazzled viewers across the globe

When you have a horse this talented, you need to show him off! Debbie uploaded the video to her personal YouTube channel. It wasn't long before the video caught fire. This clip has racked up thousands of views and received comments from viewers all over the world. It's even attracted media attention and popped up on various websites. Chulo would be delighted if he knew that he had such a large audience!
