Clint Eastwood has been a pinnacle figure in the movie industry for well over 65 years. As an actor, film director, composer and producer, Eastwood has been a highlight in the film industry in many areas, as well as some time in the television industry. Most known for his work as an actor and director, Eastwood found his claim to fame during the 1950s, and the rest is history. Now, at 91 years old, Eastwood still has shown no signs of slowing down, as he is set to direct, produce and star in a new movie coming out in 2021.

Born on May 30, 1930, Eastwood grew up in an established household in California. He struggled in school but found luck in acting. With such a tall stance and serious expression, Eastwood was the perfect fit for plenty of action movies and Western productions, and his stiff manner even became his trademark. He went on to star in a plethora of films and even showcased his skills as both a director and producer along the way. Eastwood has even tried his hand at the music industry.

The acclaimed star was 90 at the time of filming his upcoming movie “Cry Macho.” He not only obtained the leading role of the project but showed off his keen eye for directing and his talents with producing. With such a large amount of work already in his repertoire, it seems like at 91, Eastwood has no intentions to quit making incredible films and showcasing his wide variety of talents.

As a producer, he began his own production company called Malpaso Productions, which has produced all but four of his American films. As a director, Eastwood has shown he has a sharp eye for storytelling, as he has directed a total of 45 projects over the span of his career, including “Mystic River” and “American Sniper.”

Eastwood’s talent spans further than just the film and TV industries, as he has also made his presence known in the music world. His passion for music has led him to partner with Warner Bros. The company has released all of the scores for Eastwood’s movies, and the star has produced some of the scores himself for projects such as “Million Dollar Baby” and “Mystic River.”

Now, at the age of 91, Eastwood is still working in the entertainment industry and even has a new movie coming out in late 2021. Eastwood not only worked as the leading star of the upcoming film “Cry Macho,” but has also been credited as a director and producer. In October 2020, the Jakarta Post reported that N. Richard Nash wrote the screenplay for “Cry Macho,” and he is also the author of the 1970 novel with the same name. Scriptwriter Nick Schenk is also credited as one of the writers. Schenk has worked with Eastwood in the past on some of his other work such as “Gran Torino” in 2008 and “The Mule” in 2018.

“Cry Macho” tells the story of a one-time rodeo star and washed-up horse breeder who accepts a job to bring a man’s young son home and away from his alcoholic mother, as per IMDB. The Jakarta Post reported that the horseman has to bring the boy from Mexico across the United States border to the state of Texas, where the boy’s father lives. Along their journey together, the horseman and young boy learn from one another about what it means to be a good person.

The movie tried to come to fruition back in 2011 with Arnold Schwarzenegger as the lead star, but the project was ultimately canceled, according to the Jakarta Post. With Eastwood’s project being given the green light, the film has already been completed and stars Eastwood as the main character named Miko. “Cry Macho” is set to be released on Sept. 17, 2021.
