At 72, Jane Seymour Looked ‘Timeless’ As A Former ‘Bond’ Girl On The Red Carpet
Apr 24, 2023
For those who grew up in the 90s, "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" undoubtedly changed the TV viewing experience for many throughout the course of its six-season run. For the most part, Dr. Michaela "Mike" Quinn showed us that women could be just as successful as men in the field of medicine.
Played by the incomparable Jane Seymour, Dr. Quinn went on to become one of television history's greatest doctors to live. Seymour's big break came in 1973 when she was cast as the lead in the James Bond film "Live and Let Die." Her performance as the Bond girl Solitaire was widely praised, and launched her career in Hollywood. She went on to star in a number of popular films in the 1970s and 1980s, including "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger" and "Somewhere in Time."
In addition to her acting career, Seymour is also a philanthropist and activist. She has been involved in a number of charitable organizations, including the American Red Cross and the Open Hearts Foundation, which she founded in 2010.
Throughout her long and varied career, Seymour has established herself as a versatile and talented performer. She was even appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2000.
Although a lot of young actresses have taken over television, Seymour remains an iconic fixture in Hollywood. Who would have thought that at 72 years old, Seymour is still a head-turned like she was back then in her prime? In a red carpet event, the actress flaunts her enviable body, surprising her longtime fans with how beautiful she is up until now!
Born in 1951 in Hillingdon, Middlesex, England, Seymour was the daughter of a British gynecologist and a Dutch mother. She turned 72 on Feb. 15, 2023, and is still a stunner four decades later into her career. In 2022 alone, she appeared in three TV shows and two films, including "B Positive" and "Ruby's Choice."
Unbeknownst to many, Seymour's unfaltering beauty is a product of a strict regimen that she has followed religiously for many years. Stressing the importance of taking great care of one's skin, Seymour told Glamour Magazine that caring for the said organ is perhaps one of the most important things a person could do to maintain their youthful appearance for years.
"My philosophy is actually quite amazing because it's something pretty much anyone can do," she revealed.
Aside from cleansing, gentle exfoliation, and sun protection, she highlighted that she has stopped "sun-worshipping" for a very long time already – and with that, her skin has been thankful for such.
"Never go to bed with dirty skin," and "don't ever just lie in the sun. Never," were more tips she shared with the publication.
As for the controversial topic of letting one's hair grow grey naturally, Seymour has a rather different thought about that.
"I have a lot of friends who have allowed themselves to go gray and they look elegant and lovely. … I don't actually have that much gray hair so I wouldn't naturally be gray, I'd look a bit more like a skunk, so at the moment I decided that I really like the color I have, it's very natural," she confessed to an interview with Prevention.

Aside from following a strict skincare routine, Seymour has always preferred her natural beauty compared to having her face surgically altered as she aged.
"I have not done facelifts or all of those things and fillers just because… I don't think I've ever worked as much as I have right now," she further revealed to Prevention. "And I think being as authentic as you can be as an actress is really important. You need a face that moves."
Surely, that philosophy worked out until today. At 72, not only does Seymour look fantastic, she has embraced her curves and the age marks that came with her body as she gracefully aged. At the red carpet premiere of AMC's UpFront 2023 in New York, Seymour had everybody wondering how she looked gorgeous and young-looking after all those years.
Just from the way she presents herself on the carpet already screamed volumes of how confidently beautiful she is at her age. At 72, Seymour continues to rock body-hugging outfits and pumps. What also made her more youthful is how her bangs accentuated her face, highlighting how her face remained the same beautiful face since then.
In an Instagram post on her account, Seymour showed more of her outfit as she posed beautifully in more photos.
The comment section was filled with compliments and praises about Seymour's appearance, mostly about how she has a "timeless" beauty.
"You are nothing short of perfection! Beautiful inside and out! You are timeless and unstoppable!" a user pointed out.
"Wow!! You look so stunning...as always!! You've found the fountain of youth sweet lady. It is great to see Zahn and you together," someone shared.
"How do you keep your perfect figure? You are stunning and a perfection of beauty!" another commented.
