Jul 20, 2023
Christie Brinkley is a world-famous supermodel. The beautiful blonde was born in February of 1954 in Michigan before growing up in California. After graduating high school, Brinkley took her first leap of faith and moved to Paris to study art. It was in Paris that her world changed. One day, while in a Paris post office, a famous photographer discovered her.
Shortly after, Brinkley would go on to sign three national ad campaigns. Brinkley's beauty quickly became a worldwide hit as her rise to fame grew. The supermodel would make history as she graced the cover of three Sports Illustrated magazines three years in a row. Soon it was more than just Sports Illustrated calling.
Brinkley signed a huge contract with beauty brand Covergirl for 25 years, one of the longest and biggest beauty deals ever. She was also stepping on every magazine cover imaginable, including Vogue, Rolling Stone, Esquire, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Glamour, just to name a few.
Besides striking gold in her career, Brinkley was the apple of quite a few bachelor's eyes. The supermodel would go on to have four marriages. First to François Allaux in 1973, American singer Billy Joel in 1985, Richard Taubman in 1994 and Peter Cook in 1996. Brinkley shares children with Joel, Taubman and Cook.
Brinkley might have modeled back in the day, but that doesn't mean she never got caught up with technology because, like any other supermodel in the industry from 2010 onwards, she also made her social media account which her fans truly love and adore.
Christie Brinkley is very much active on her Instagram account, as she loves sharing throwback photos of her supermodel days.
In one post shared in January 2023, the model posted a throwback snap of herself only wearing a pair of what appeared to be boxers. It was for the annual swimsuit issue of the National Lampoon.
The magazine was published in April 1983, and at the time, it only cost $2.
"Who couldn't use a good @nationallampoon laugh on the rather dreary Monday in the northeast where this hot," Brinkley wrote in the caption.
She later added that the photo was taken 40 years prior to her post, and she felt like the photoshoot was only the week before.
After she shared the funny snap with her followers, online users bombarded the comment section with love and praises.
"You are awesome, Christie! And you still look as great as you did 40 years ago! Simply incredible!" one fan wrote.
Another fan appeared to have a special sentiment with the photo as they noted that the magazine represents "happiness, radiance… and your ability to be like sunshine."
One user commented that they were both the same age in the photo when it was taken decades prior, as she wrote, "you are such an inspiration, i'm the same age as you, you look like you haven't aged at all, it makes me keep trying!!!"
The National Lampoon was not the first time Brinkley shared a throwback magazine cover as she also shared the May 1992 issue of Fitness Magazine, where she could be seen rocking a vintage hairstyle and purple snakeskin-printed activewear.

In October 2022, the supermodel also took a trip down memory lane as she posted an old cover of Los Angeles Magazine from 1982, where she sported a blue leotard.
"This cover was 40 years ago, and I can still fit into this leotard. Thank goodness for Lycra, it grows with age… like we do!" she wrote in the caption.
In the post, fans continued to praise her looks back in the day and even when she already aged, as one wrote, "You were and still are my favorite supermodel. Looks like you discovered the Fountain of Youth. Cheers."
Aside from throwback posts, Brinkley also loved sharing her skincare routine, and it appears that she was not gatekeeping her secrets to a youthful glow from her fans.
In a video shared in September 2022, the model had fun with the beauty products that she got. In the clip, she wore a towel wrapped around her head as well as her upper body.
Brinkley shared the product description in the caption as she noted that all of the items that she used were meant to lift, smoothen, and tighten her skin.
The products were a sculpting wand, an eye lift wand, and another set of sculpting wands for her neck, jawline, and chin.
Unfortunately, not all comments were positive compared to her previous posts, as many haters expressed negative remarks about her features.
"Without makeup you look so creepy. Don't show these videos anyway, really you scare," one wrote.
"Stop with fillers and everything else. It's too much," another one wrote.
Luckily for Brinkley, the hate comments were overpowered by the positive remarks of her loyal following.
