At 67, Lisa Hartman Black Celebrates Secure 31-Year Marriage & Has A Lookalike Daughter

Jun 12, 2023

Hollywood star Lisa Hartman's grown daughter, Lily Pearl Black, delighted fans on social media as she showed off a heartwarming Instagram post of herself and the beloved entertainer. The youngster celebrated her mom's 67th birthday on June 1, 2023. While the milestone had fans gushing in droves, the post also made admirers reminisce on Hartman's longtime career and blissful marriage with country singer Clint Black.

Lisa Hartman and Clint Black have been the ultimate Nashville power couple for over three decades, thanks to their unwavering affection for each other and their similarities in interests. In the early 1990s, Clint and Hartman met when the former was not looking out for love. It is safe to say that all that changed after he crossed paths with her.

The entertainers were worlds apart regarding their career paths. While Clint was a successful country singer, Hartman was a known personality in the TV movie sphere. Although she had a pop-rock star career, Hartman leaned towards her acting career more.

They met on New Year's Eve in 1990 when Clint had a concert in Texas, his hometown.

Hartman was also in the city to promote a TV show. She got a last-minute ticket to attend Black's show, and that was where they met for the first time. After the show, he was slated to meet some fans backstage, and although he was not feeling up to it, the music star didn't back down. Speaking to People, Black described their first meeting as electrifying. He stated:

"I knew I was looking at somebody amazing. I didn't know anything about her. I didn't know her TV show. I just looked at her eyes, and I was just, wow!"

Speaking to the same publication, Lisa Hartman attested that their first introduction felt like a rom-com scene. She described, "It was slow motion like you see in the movies. There was something there." The duo connected at another time when their mutual friends played matchmakers. Clint and the "Knots Landing" actress went on a date in Los Angeles, which further sealed their affection. Ten months later, in October 1991, the pair became man and wife.

In a 1992 interview with People, Hartman recalled how her husband proposed. She stated that they had been conversing about life and "was probably an endorphin high or something, but he asked me to marry him, and I said yes."

Hartman and Clint became parents years later, in 2001, when they welcomed their daughter Lisa Pearl. While the couple forged ahead in their careers, they also drew closer, and this culminated in a marriage of over 30 years which is still waxing strong.

Hartman and the "Like The Rain" crooner bonded better due to their love for music. Hartman released four albums as an active singer, but she shelved her singing career due to the lack of mainstream fame. However, her husband said she was not done.

Clint thrived in the music industry and nudged his wife to look into music again. It all started with how they would often perform duets of his favorite songs in their home. She became his muse, inspiring several of his hit love songs. In his People interview, Clint stated that he and his wife had been singing together one time when they composed a song.

At that moment, he knew he wanted her to record the song with him, and although she refused, it took a little persuasion for her to come around. The song titled "When I Said I Do" went on to become one of his 13 No. 1s. The hit song also earned the couple an ACM award for vocal event of the year in 2000.

Although this did not give Hartman's music career a rebirth, it signified a pivotal moment in their separate careers and solidified their marriage. The couple have made more music together, including their 2022 duet, "Til The End of Time." They also partnered on "The Masked Singer" as The Winter Owl in 2022. Hartman and Clint went on a 24-date tour in the same year alongside their daughter, who is also creating a path for herself in Hollywood and music.

Over the years, the lovebirds have opened up on how they never looked back since they said their bows in 1991. In a 2016 interview with Country Living, Hartman recalled how she was in awe of her husband because of his talent. Clint also gushed over her, describing her as "an incredibly pleasant person." Clint said, "Love is something that you nurture and protect. We've grown together in our relationship and never apart."

The signs of their lovely marriage are easy to tell in Hartman's ageless looks. The star is way into her 60s and has no hair out of place. Lisa Pearl, in her Instagram post, showed mother-daughter snaps of them through the years, and Hartman's glow was undeniable.

The TV star keeps living her best life with her beloved family. Clint once told ET that he and Hartman fell madly in love, and all they continued doing was nurturing and caring for their marriage.
