Astounding 'Boogie-Woogie' Piano Performance From Young Woman Leaves Crowd Stunned

Aug 12, 2020

Before there was rock 'n' roll, there was boogie-woogie music. This may have been the music of our great-grandparents, but this bluesy, upbeat style is making a comeback. Part of the reason is that there is a resurgence of musicians that are playing in this style. Swiss pianist Ladyva is one of them and her performance will blow you away.

Ladyva is a piano player who loves to play in the boogie-woogie style. According to See It Live, she didn't start learning to hit the keys until she was 14 years of age. This 31-year-old musician loves to play so much that she is selling out concerts. She is not doing this all on her own though, she also brings her brother Pascal Silva along for the ride.

The Swiss-born musician is known to be a clean player. She hits all of the notes perfectly. What's more, she also is fast. Boogie-woogie is a fast style of play and Ladyva is precise in how she performs live.

Perhaps what is also enticing is her demeanor during her live performances. The youthful-looking woman appears so happy performing. The audience always joins in when she performs. They will clap and sway rhythmically to her boogie-woogie piano playing. It is hard to resist even tapping your foot.

Ladyva has also won awards for her exceptional talent. In 2017, she won the Best Boogie Woogie Pianist at the Boisdale Music Awards.

Other musicians admire Ladyva's music. She performed at the Boogie Woogie Dinner alongside other famous pianists in this genre, including Axel Zwingenberger and Neville Dickie. That particular event was hosted by none other than Jools Holland.

She has performed live for such celebrities as Charlie Sheen and Kelsey Grammer at the Cigar Awards. She has also been on over 30 television shows. Ladyva tours around the world, including her second home in the Dominican Republic, reports See It Live. She has already recorded five albums.
