After A Young Father Dies From A Toothache, His Dentist Is Warning Others To Get Their Teeth Checked

Sep 03, 2018

When a family member dies, it is always a time of tragedy and grief. It can also help to bring people together. The family members gather to celebrate the life of someone they loved. In the case of one family, the grief was exceptionally terrible because they knew that the death could have been prevented.

The Kondratyuk family recently lost Vadim. While Vadim was only 26 years old, the Californian man got a terrible infection in his tooth. Before long, the infection became fatal.

Before his death, Vadim worked as a truck driver. He had been driving to New York when his tooth started to hurt. A dentist in Oklahoma prescribed him antibiotics, and Vadim assumed that his toothache would go away. Unfortunately, the infection continued to spread. By the time he arrived in New York, the infection was everywhere in his body. His lungs started to fill with fluid.

When his family found out, they started to pray for them. Instead of healing, the infection became worse and worse. Despite the terrible odds, his family hoped desperately for his recovery.

Within a few days, Vadim died. His family was left to grieve for their loss. They created a GoFundMe page to help fund his funeral and pay for his medical expense. Together, they remembered the life of a man who always put other people ahead of himself. None of the family members expected what would happen next.

To the family's shock, the fundraiser was unbelievably successful. Complete strangers donated money to support the beloved husband, father, and brother. In total, the Kondratyuk family was given $250,000 in donations.

Vadim's wife and kids are unbelievably thankful for the support that they have been given. They thanked everyone for their support during such a difficult time. The family was blown away by the compassion and kindness of the community. While they still grieved for their loss, they felt a renewed hope in humanity.

Unfortunately, Vadim's experience is far more common than people think. The California Dental Association states that tooth infections can sometimes cause serious health problems. In one study, the Journal of Endodontics discovered that 61,000 patients were hospitalized for tooth infections between 2000 and 2008. Roughly one out of 1,000 of these patients ended up dying.

Thankfully, there are preventative options available. One dentist from Sacramento stated that preventative care is key to preventing serious infections. Unfortunately, 100 million Americans see their dentist less than once a year.

When teeth start to decay, it can lead to a tooth infection. Poor dental health can make health issues like diabetes and cancer worth. When you do have a toothache, the best thing that you can do is go to your dentist. Make sure to follow up on your visit within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Prevent other families from suffering the same fate by telling everyone about the dangers of tooth infections.
