Aerosmith Band's Original Tour Van Uncovered In Small Town By TV's "American Pickers"

If you love the nation's longtime, classic rock band Aerosmith, then, you will love this amazing find uncovered by television's History Channel. Their show "American Pickers" made a brilliant rock and roll discovery in the woods of a tiny Massachusetts town called Chesterfield. There sat the one and only (and rusted out by now) Aerosmith tour van.

That's right, folks; you've got to see this one for the ages. The antique scavaging show found the old 1970s tour van buried deep among the trees and bushes of Chesterfield, about 100 miles west of Boston. The 1964 van model is called the International Harvester Metro, and Aerosmith enjoyed tooling around in it back in the early days. The band had NH and Massachusetts roots.

Of course, you know how iconic Aerosmith became over the decades with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame honors in 2001 and selling massive amounts of albums, more than 150 million globally. That's not too shabby for the New England boys who started out getting a measly $3 a piece for gigs.

The property where the van was unburied is owned by Phil, a man who bought the place from someone who was connected to the famous band. Phil did alright by the find because TV hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz paid him $25,000 for the antique memorabilia on wheels.

The van is authentic Aerosmith because founding band member Ray Tabano had a look at it and raved on social media's Twitter that the van "was a match!" Tabano had proof in old photographs of the rock and rollers sitting in the van. You have got to check out those images. Tabano says the band had humble beginnings, but, hey, look at them now! Who knows if their famous hit "Dream On" was written aboard that touring van?

That's a classic you should listen to again. It's a great omen to the success the band would soon achieve.

Meanwhile, Steven Tyler, the iconic Aerosmith Frontman, recently opened an Atlanta shelter to house up to 30 abused and neglected young girls from his "Janie's Fund." The charity is named after his hit "Janie's Got A Gun." It tells the story of a girl who's being abused by her father.

Tyler posted on Instagram that "Janie's House" is his pride and joy and gives girls a safe space to thrive.
