8 Behaviors Spiritually Awake People Display Without Realizing It
Aug 23, 2018
A spiritual awakening can be an exciting time. You might feel like a kid again. It's not always easy to communicate with others about what you are going through. You might also have taken on new ways of behaving without realizing it. Below are eight things many people start to do after a spiritual awakening.
1. You Are Skeptical
Just because you heard it or read it doesn't mean you have to believe it. You make sure to check multiple sources and get your news from alternative outlets. You might also have a tendency to analyze things too much. Because you question everything, you also question yourself, your choices and your environment. You need to think about and might even reconsider what you thought you were sure about.

2. You Are Out Of Step With Society
You don't fall in with the mainstream and do what others do. In fact, you might end up doing the opposite of what everyone else seems to be doing whether that's working a boring 9-to-5 job, shopping on a big sales day or heading out to the bar on Friday night. You know that eating a healthy meal, meditation and regular exercise make you feel your best, and so you follow a routine that allows you to do all those things. You aren't deliberately trying to reject the way other people want to live. You simply are spiritually awakened enough to know what you need to do.
3. You Want to Help Everyone
People probably tell you that you are unrealistic, but you know that you are actually looking at the only realistic way to live life, and that is helping each other. Your empathy means you struggle to live in a world where we hurt each other and the environment as much as we do. You might not be able to save the whole world, but you certainly do your best to help the parts of it that you can.
4. You Like Time To Yourself
Since you don't quite fit into the mold that most people do, you also tend to like spending time on your own. Places that are noisy or crowded unsettle you, and you are much happier in nature or in places like coffee shops and bookstores. You enjoy silence and your own solitude. One of your favorite ways to spend time is in bed with a cup of tea and a book you love.
5. You Are Open
Knowing how you like to spend your time and rejecting others' ideas about what you should be doing doesn't mean you are closed off to people and new ideas. Being spiritually awakened mean that you don't allow yourself to be overcome by your ego. You know that your ideas may need refining or even changing altogether, and you realize that there is always space for growing and improving as a person. You also know how important it is for people to listen to one another and share ideas because we all need to work together to make the world a better place.
6. You Are An Advice-Giver
People come to you for advice because they notice that you don't offer the same old solutions as everyone else. There's a good chance you don't notice that you are often sought out to give advice because you are so used to it. You are also easy to approach and you are kind to people, which makes you a good listener.
7. You Distrust Authority
Just because someone is in a position of authority above you doesn't mean you have any intention of deferring to that person. You aren't impressed with or intimidated by uniforms or badges, and while you are generally law-abiding, you probably have issues with the system. You talk to people in authority as though you are equals, but you are wary of those who make and enforce laws.
8. You See the Depth in Things
You want to have deep conversations with people, not shallow small talk. Gossip and other irrelevant topics bore you. You know that everything in the universe is connected and nothing happens by accident, and you look for signs of that mystery all around you. You know the universe is sending messages all the time for those who know how to look for them.
