77-Year-Old Woman at ATM When Three Boys Appear. They Soon Found Out That They Messed With the Wrong Granny

You should always respect your elders. It's a truth, however, that we forget all too often. A group of thieves recently got a painful reminder when they attempted to assault a 77-year-old woman.

Winifred Peel, a British grandmother, was innocently going about her business one day. She stopped at an ATM while running errands.

A man approached from the right as Peel was completing the transaction. He knocked Peel to the side. Another man came up behind her to try and withdraw £200 (about $256).

That's when Peel realized who these men were. She'd seen them coming out of a bank earlier. She was being attacked by a group of crooks!

Peel took action immediately. She grabbed the man attempting the withdrawal and smashed him into the ATM. After three hits, the men ran away. They were soon apprehended and identified by their accomplice's blood-soaked face.

Peel was surprised that the men got arrested. She was expecting them to get a mere slap on the wrist. However, she's grateful that she was able to act so quickly. She explained that the experience has given her new confidence. Peel shouldn't underestimate herself, however. She's evidently a regular gym-goer and grew up with three brothers.

Take your granny seriously. She may not look like it, but your grandmother just might have some fight in her after all.
