4-Year-Old Rescued From Being Kidnapped By Brave 12-Year-Old Neighbor

Losing your child is something you hope would only ever happen in nightmares. Every parent's worst fear is having something bad happen to their child. Just the mere thought of this happening can cause your heart to break.

Fortunately, the world is full of kind-hearted people who are more than willing to help out. This is what happened when 12-year-old Jada Miller, saved her four-year-old neighbor Caylee.

Jada Miller is 12 years old and lives in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She became a hero when her neighbor's child was kidnapped. Miller worked together with the rest of the neighborhood to find little four-year-old Caylee and stop her being taken away.

Caylee was playing outside with the other children in the neighborhood when her friend, Trinity, saw a new member of the community grab Caylee's wrist and drag her away. Trinity immediately told Jada to go after Caylee as she ran to tell Caylee's parents. As Jada reached Caylee and her older neighbor, she grabbed her and told the man that they would be leaving, reports Spotlight.

Caylee, being so young did not understand what was happening. The suspect, Benjamin Spasogevich-Lee, was soon apprehended. After the arrest, Benjamin was charged for disorderly conduct and the kidnapping of the child. Caylee's parents claimed that this was not the first interaction between them. For three weeks prior to the incident, Benjamin had attempted to engage with the children continuously.

According to Kenosha News, Caylee's mother noticed this and warned him to stay away, but he continued with such behavior. While she thought that the man was strange, she would have never believed that he would go as far as kidnapping her child. Just the mere thought of this was unbelievable.

If Benjamin is convicted under these charges, he could be fined up to $50,000 and spend almost 15 years in prison. Additionally, he is no longer allowed to engage with any children under the age of 18, reports TMJ4.

Jada Miller later claimed that she took action to stop the kidnapping rather than telling her parents because she feared that Caylee would be long gone before they arrived at the scene. She apprehended Benjamin herself with only Caylee's safety on her mind.

Benjamin had latched onto Caylee's wrist after thinking that no one was paying attention, however, Caylee's older friends had been looking after her. Caylee truly is lucky to have such amazing friends.

However, if one lesson was learned from the incident, it was that you are never too young to do the right thing. Thanks to the efforts of Jada, Caylee is now at home, sleeping safely by her mother's side.
