15-Year-Old Football Player Sings National Anthem In Perfect Pitch For The Crowd

Oct 09, 2019

If you’ve watched many football games, then you’re probably familiar with the national anthem being sung by one special person.

However, the Nashoba Regional High School took things on a different twist when they allowed one football player to surprise the crowd by taking off his helmet and singing the song.

Sam Keith was a sophomore who not only played football but could also carry an amazing tune. Before the game began, the 15-year-old grabbed for the microphone and sang the National Anthem.

Still dressed in his uniform and sweating from a warmup session, Sam sang in front of everyone and proved that sports stars can do a lot more than just toss around a ball.

While Sam’s performance quickly went viral as soon as it hit the internet, the fifteen-year-old was no stranger to the spotlight. Sam has his own Youtube channel where he showcases his talents in popular musicals such as “Les Miserables," “Footloose," and “Oklahoma."

Towards the climax of the song, Sam held his helmet up in the air as he belts out the last lyrics “O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave." The other players also raised their helmets in unison, showing the crowd their team spirit combined with patriotic pride.

Sam’s video was uploaded to Youtube and quickly became an online sensation with over 1.2 million views! He has since sung the anthem at other football games along with soccer and basketball games. According to his video's description, Sam is currently attending the University of Cincinnati as a Musical Theater Major and is going to graduate in 2021.
