13-Year-Old ‘AGT’ Contestant Earns Golden Buzzer With Amazing Cover Of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’

"America's Got Talent" has become one of America's most loved talent shows on NBC. The hit show premiered back in June of 2006 and has been a fan favorite ever since for many years. Although the series continues to air new seasons, fans can’t help but look back at some of the best talents from the past.

The show's talent judge panel consists of Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara. On average, the show has brought in record-breaking views for the network as viewers continue to tune in to watch individuals, acts and talents of all sorts. Talents travel from all over the world to get one shot at becoming the best of the best.

Back in 2020, Angelina Jordan was a contestant on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.” The show was a spin-off of “AGT” that featured contestants from the “Got Talent” franchise, including winners, finalists and other notable acts. The judges for Season 2 included Cowell, Klum, Mandel and Alesha Dixon.

Although Jordan is just a teenager, she has already been a viral sensation for almost half of her life. As Fox 8 reported, she first hit the big time when she was crowned the champion of “Norway's Got Talent.”

Because Norway is her home country, it makes sense that she chose this show as her stage debut. What is most impressive is that Jordan was only 7 years old when she won this competition.

Jordan’s performance was clearly mind-blowing as Klum graced her with the Golden Buzzer. At the time, the young entertainer was only 13 years old! With the release of the Golden Buzzer came a confetti shower after Jordan’s haunting performance of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

When Jordan first walked out onto the stage, “AGT” viewers would probably assume that she would have a soft and wispy voice. However, what came out of her mouth was not what was expected. Despite her small size, Jordan boasted a mature and raspy singing voice. The depth of her singing voice was simply outstanding for her age.

When Jordan first appeared on the second season of “America's Got Talent: The Champions,” she said that she had been waiting a decade to sing for Cowell. "I've waited 10 years to sing for Simon," she said. She added, “He’s just amazing, and he’s a legend."

The teen finally got the chance to live her dream, and she chose the song “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen as her number.

After she finished the mesmerizing performance, Jordan was treated to a standing ovation by the entire audience, including all four judges. Dixon likened her to a “star,” while Cowell called her performance "amazing." Mandel believed that Jordan's audition would change her life and career “forever.”

Klum awarded Jordan with the Golden Buzzer, which pushed her through into the next round of the competition. Even the band Queen was astonished by Jordan’s performance and tweeted: “Wow! What a rendition of #BohemianRhapsody @angelinajordanA 👏👏 #AGTChampions”

Although Jordan ultimately did not win “AGT,” she has gone on to have quite a successful career. According to her website, she wrote an illustrated children’s book in Norway. The now-17-year-old also lent her vocals to a cover of Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good” for a Volvo campaign with the late Avicii.

We can’t wait to see what else this teen’s future has in store for her!
