11-Year-Old Blows Judges Away With Incredible Performance & Earns Standing Ovation
Apr 25, 2022
Do you remember being a child and dreaming of what you wanted to be when you grew up? Some children grow up wanting to be a doctor or a dancer. Others grow up wanting to be a veterinarian or a nurse. Children’s big dreams and large imaginations often bring hope, and happiness and bring a breath of fresh air. Ambitious and spunky kids add an extra level of charisma to life. Not all kids want to put themselves out there, yet one young girl from the Czech Republic did. What did she have to lose?
Lara H., an 11-year-old girl, decided to travel the many miles to put her dreams and hopes on the line. Having a dream of being a singer one day, Lara and her family decided to pursue a once-in-a-life opportunity. Stepping out onto the stage on “The Voice Kids,” one would have thought Lara had been a professional singer for years with her voice range and stage presence.
She would later go on to tell judges that she had professional training as a young girl. She attended a music school in Nashville, Tennessee. Just from watching the positively chilling video, you can tell that the young girl was meant to be on a big stage. With her mother, father, and brother watching behind stage viewers can tell this huge and exciting moment was a long time coming. Not only did the young star have judges turn around for her during her performance of “Shake it Off,” but she also got a standing ovation.

Carrying the “Shake it Off” attitude on stage with confidence and an excellent voice, the 11-year-old star made a huge impact. Having all but one judge chair turn for her, the young star was overwhelmed with happiness as she shed tears on stage. She even had the judges up and out of their seats, singing “Shake it Off,” with her.
“I would be more than happy, I would be like ‘I need you,’ I think we’re the perfect match. I feel like musically we are totally aligned and I would just love to have you on my team Lara it would be like such a big honor for me,” Lena Meyer-Landrut said. Other judges gushed over the upcoming star as well.
“I can see they have a great culture, history, music classes in the Czech Republic. We would be very happy with an international star on our team,” Michi Beck.
After hearing how badly several of the judges wanted Lara on their teams, the young singer ended up choosing judge and singer Lena Meyer-Landrut. Upon announcing her judge pick, Meyer-Landrut ran to her new contestant with a huge smile,
“Yes! I am so happy, thank you so much you did a great job, Lara. I am so happy,” she said as the two walked happily off stage. Seeing as Meyer-Landrut has been known for singing in English just like Lara, the two found each other a perfect match.
With the competition starting in March 2022, we will have to wait until the end of “The Voice Kids,” to see how Lara ends in the competition.
